When you’re in Delray Beach at the beginning of a weekend, you can’t miss the opportunity to get out and enjoy the city. As one of South Florida’s most creative towns, residents have found all kinds of ways to have fun. Take notes and get ready for your next big night out – we recommend trying these three events:

Movies of Delray

Here is where art house style films, documentaries that cover sensitive and elusive subjects with depth and breadth, and indie movies are shown to an analytical and critiquing audience. Features can range from from Sundance favorites to recordings of Bolshoi Ballet and Metropolitan Opera plays. The current must-see at this playhouse is Heading Home: The Tale of Team Israel. A daring documentary that explores what it means to carry the expectations of the world through the struggles and triumphs of Team Israel as they compete in the World Baseball Classic, this documentary has won ‘Best Documentary’ at the Gold Coast International Film Festival 2018.

Art Walk and Exhibition Reception at Artswarehouse

For art enthusiasts, Art Walk is the place to be. The after-hours viewing event exposes auteurs to the works of two rising artists, Carmen Smith and Robert Fehre, while making them consider the questions that Smith’s paintings and Fehre’s photos pose as they break down architecture into its most simplified shapes and forms. Through their works, they ask how we utilize color, shape, and other personifying details to turn a house into a home. Art Walk is not confined to the Artswarehouse gallery, but expands to galleries, restaurants, and studios throughout Delray Beach, expanding on the artists’ themes of home and space.

The Grove

Plenty of restaurants are happy to identify their food as “American” without ever exploring the role of the moniker. The Grove seeks to change that by establishing a conversation between gastronomes about how we establish food as “American” food. The menu is composed of fish, fruits, and vegetables that reflect the availability of the market and the season, challenging the chefs to compose a dish of delicate flavor and beauty. No one dish reflects this better than the Local Mahi, served with hearts of palm and yellow gazpacho, or the Papperdelle made of wild boar Bolognese.

Another extraordinary opportunity is unfolding on the oceanfront in Delray Beach. Nineteen stunning residences have been designed for maximum privacy on one of the most elusive and pristine beaches in all of Florida.  This is the first, and quite possibly the last, chance to own an ultra-luxe residence that lives like a single-family estate home with all the benefits of a carefree, maintenance-free lifestyle. Every home is distinctive and breathtaking. No detail has been overlooked, from access-controlled entry points, a concierge/valet and air-conditioned private two- and three-car plus golf cart garages. Exquisite interiors and wrap-around terraces of enormous proportion. Ocean Delray is truly one-of-kind.

The ground level residences of Ocean Delray sit two feet above the dune line providing unobstructed Atlantic vistas from every level and every vantage point. Light-filled interiors with 10-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass spill onto immense terraces with glass-railings and linear gas-burning fire pits. Fixtures, finishes and appliances are top-of-the-line. Master suites are the last word in luxury. The private amenities, including the oceanfront pool and residents’ plaza are, intimate, yet highly-designed in keeping with the ambiance of an exclusive private home.

Ocean Delray offers it all—privacy and luxury– within minutes of the coastal charm of Delray Beach shops, dining, entertainment and diversions.  The 19 highly-appointed, 3 bedroom plus den to 4 bedroom plus den residences will range from 3,300 square feet to more than 4,600 square feet – and rival any single-family home anywhere in South Florida.
